Prior to joining us, Mike taught at The Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida and The Golf Club at Summerbrooke in Tallahassee, FL. His preparation and qualifications are quite evident, as Mike teaches golfers of advanced experience levels, helping them to achieve their highest golf potential. For members who might prefer to learn in a group setting, Mike also conducts two clinics per week.
As for running our many golf events without a hitch, Mike makes it seem easy, as he has everything in order and organized to run smoothly. From our weekly Couples Step-Aside Scramble (between 100-140 members play this 9 hole event, then receive prizes and enjoy dinner), to men's and ladies events on an ever-continuing basis, our golf gatherings are plentiful.
Mike oversees our many golf-related vendors, ensuring the Golf Pro Shop is always ready with the latest in golf fashion, equipment and technology. Additional responsibilities include involvement in all golf activities, course conditions/markings, budget development and the oversight of the handicap system. Mike plays a critical role in ensuring all of the golfing needs of our members are delivered professionally and with a smile.
Be sure to meet Mike when you visit Piper’s. He’s a tremendous asset who loves what he does and is one of the reasons we all enjoy the golf environment we are so fortunate to have here.
